Through photos, maps, videos, personal stories, and illustrations, this exhibit shares the stories of freedom seekers, conductors, and communities who were part of Illinois’ Underground Railroad history — with local Jacksonville stories featured to help connect this statewide exhibit to our own community.

Tucked beside The David Strawn Art Gallery, the Sculpture Garden is a quiet little spot to slow down, wander the brick sidewalk, and enjoy art outdoors.
While you’re there, step inside for “Students of the Strawn,” featuring recent artwork by children and adults enrolled in art classes at the gallery. The exhibit is on display through May 24, so there are just a couple of days left to stop by before it wraps up!

Tuesday–Saturday: 4–6 PM

Jacksonville is ready to welcome the World of Outlaws! 🏁
The Hy-Vee PERKS 40 is set for tonight at Jacksonville Speedway, bringing racers, crews, and fans to town for one of the biggest nights of the year.
No ticket? No problem — walk-up pit passes with pit grandstand seating will be available for purchase at the pit shack on race day. Pit gate opens at 3:00 PM for public pit pass purchases, VIP opens at 3:30 PM, and general admission ticket holders may enter at 4:00 PM.
