GREEN PASTURES CHRISTIAN RETREAT CENTER
Green Pastures Christian Retreat Center is located near Meredosia, IL on U.S. Hwy. 67 16 miles north of Jacksonville, IL. The camping area has 6 Full Hookup RV sites and 12 Electric Only RV sites. Camping sites are available on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Tent and group campers are welcome. The facilities include a picnic area, fishing pond, shower-house, dump station, amphitheater, hiking trail, firewood, soda machine and recreation equipment. Alcohol is prohibited. The Retreat Center has facilities for seminars, conferences, reunions, concerts, summer camps, personal retreats or other special events. The main building has a large auditorium, dining hall, commercial kitchen, 2 small meeting rooms, and a large den area with fireplace. Overnight accommodations include a 16 unit motel facility, two 40 bed bunkhouses, two efficiency style cabins, and a family cottage. All of the retreat facilities have heating and air-conditioning. LAKE JACKSONVILLE
All the beauty and excitement of the great outdoors awaits you at Lake Jacksonville. Whatever you're looking for in outdoor recreation, fishing, sailing, swimming, skiing, canoeing, hiking, picnicking, you'll find it here. Located just 3 miles south of Jacksonville on Highway 67, this 500 acre, man-made lake features a camping area complete with electrical hook-ups, shower and restroom facilities, dump stations and trash pick-up. Camping is available April 15 - October 15. Hike along the more than 22 miles of wooded shorelines, cool off with a swim, or just lay in the sun on sandy Goveia Beach. Lake Jacksonville was stocked in 1986 and 1987 with 800,000 bass, bluegill, catfish and red-ear sunfish. 5,000 hybrid stripers were added in 1989 and 1990. WESTERN ILLINOIS YOUTH CAMP AND RETREAT CENTER
Western Illinois Youth Camp and Retreat Center provides an excellent natural setting for all group outings. The facilities are located on the eastern shore of Lake Jacksonville and can accommodate groups of 15-200. Special rates for one day, weekend or week long outings can accommodate the budgets of most groups. The camp and retreat center is available for large group use during the spring, summer and fall months. Winter use is also available for smaller groups.
